Musician From Georgia Surprises S'porean Tourists by Playing 'Majulah Singapura' for Them

If there's something that is more exciting than visiting new places while you're on vacation, it would definitely be coming across familiar elements of home.

A Singaporean couple was on a honeymoon trip in Georgia when they came across a street performer.

The Georgian man had an accordion with him as he stood under a purple umbrella. Upon seeing the couple, the man asked where they were from, in which the couple answered him 'Singapore'.

To the couple's surprise, the gentleman started playing the tune of 'Majulah Singapura (Onward Singapore)', Singapore's national anthem.

The husband shared this heart-warming moment on Tiktok via his account (@wantwotwee).

Speaking to 8 World News, the husband told the journalist the video was taken on August 15.

The couple was enjoying their time at the Narikala Fortress when they came across the musician.

The husband expressed that the musician smiled in glee when he heard that the couple was from Singapore.

In response to one of the comments below his Tiktok video, the couple did not ask why the musician knew the national anthem so well.

Another user also took to the comment section to share about their encounter with the musician who was able to play the Sri Lankan national anthem as well.
